Our History

Premier Control Technologies Ltd (PCT) was established in 1999 as a partnership with Racine Federated, a US manufacturer of VA, Turbine and Ultrasonic equipment. The partnership thrived and a process control company, XL instruments, was acquired. With this acquisition came new products and technologies, notably flow, pressure, temperature and level instruments.

In 2011 the partnership with Racine Federated came to an end as the US company was sold and reverted to a central European distribution.

April 2014 saw us celebrate 15 years in the industry. PCT strengthened its product offering with the addition of Lake Monitors and has retained the long-standing UK exclusive partnerships enjoyed with Alicat Scientific and King Instrument Company.

In 2018 Andy Mangell joined PCT as sales director from Alicat Europe, bringing in house his wealth of mass flow technology knowledge and sales experience. This appointment coincided with James Kybird being promoted to managing director after 16 years with the company.

2018 also marked PCT gaining “Alicat Approved Service Centre” status. In house capabilities allow us to calibrate mass flow meters and controllers with full scale flow rates between 10 SCCM and 500 SLPM.

In 2020 PCT started new partnerships with Longer Pumps as well as rekindling older partnerships and bringing back the Dynasonics product range. In 2020 Alicat launched its range of Coriolis flow meters and controllers.

Our business was founded on the principle “We serve our customers as we would expect to be served ourselves” We believe in building relationships and consider supporting our customer base a key element of our future.

We aim to serve our clients in a quick and efficient manner; whether that be for a quote, query, calibration or delivery of a product.
