As a world leader within process control instrumentation Alicat Scientific are always pushing at the boundaries of science and driving the market for innovative flow solutions. One such product is “the final word” in Coriolis instrumentation. The CODA Coriolis flow meter series includes Flow Meters and Flow Controllers with the latter utilising either a proportional control valve or a directly controlled pump. They can handle liquids or gases, high pressures, corrosive media and Super-critical fluids. In addition, however, there are three main reasons why engineers and scientists are choosing CODA.
Firstly, they are designed to be cost-effective and successfully bridge the gap to Mass Flow Controllers. CODA meters start at £1550 whilst controllers start at £1999.
Secondly, if you want a small footprint then CODA is for you! At just 108mm in height and 102mm width and just 28.5mm depth it really is tiny.
Thirdly, and as a technical reason, CODA is virtually impervious to transient vibrations. The advanced measuring system learns to “tune out” unwanted frequencies with only the true sensor reading being applied for smooth, stable process control.
CODA comes with options on accuracy with both Standard and High Accuracy models to choose from:
Whilst Coriolis instruments have been available for many years, the CODA Series is a very exciting development bringing in the latest technology to the Coriolis market of Flow Instruments. The flow stability, instrument size and flow accuracy verses cost is one of the most significant game changers across the whole of the market. By using the latest electronics board and advanced algorithms CODA achieves high processing speeds, reduced noise and exceptional control characteristics for the users – at an exceptional price point!
The CODA is equally at home in the Laboratory as it is in a process related environment. It's most popular role is with Liquid Flows and whether it is measuring or controlling the flow the Coda offers high repeatability with high accuracy. A common CODA application utilises this accuracy in that liquid filling, either by dosing a specific volume or a specific mass, needs to be exact for both cost and quality control. Moreover, batch control by mass has many advantages over volumetric flow in that mass is always mass whereas volume changes with temperature. Furthermore, should the liquid not be fully consistent in terms of viscosity or density the user may introduce an inaccurate dose by using volumetric methods. Use the CODA in mass flow units for the optimum system.
The CODA Series comes with free, easily downloaded, software FlowVision 2.0 that can be used for readout and control, plotting and data-logging. CODA can be configured with your preferred mode of communication from analog to Modbus or even to EtherCAT.
High Pressure: CODA high pressure option is capable of handling up to 4000PSIA that’s 275Bar!
Aggressive fluids: CODA can be selected with Nickel Alloy materials of construction.
Ingress Protection: CODA Series are IP40 as standard or for more challenging environments there are higher rated IP67 models.
Low Flow with High accuracy:
High Flow with High Accuracy: The largest flow range is 100Kg/hr
Accessories included: Software, Local Display and Cables
