Introduction

Flow measurement

Coriolis (mass, density & temperature)

Rheonik RHM Series + RHE transmitters - direct mass flow and density with high repeatability and vibration resistance; broad pressure/temperature options for fuels, lube/coolant and test fluids on rigs and engine/dyno cells.

Liquid turbines

LX Liquid Turbine Flowmeters - UK manufactured, all 316 stainless, ½″–4″ with BSP/NPT, tri clamp or flanged ends; ±0.5% of reading, low ΔP, intrinsically safe pickup/display options. Ideal for fuel, coolant and water glycol circuits on rigs and on vehicle skids.

Variable area (rotameters / high pressure VA)

King Instrument 7710 (all 316L) - rugged stainless tube rotameter with optional alarms and 4–20mA transmitters; widely used for coolant branch indication and utility lines in test bays.
Lake P Series (phosphate ester compatible) - VA meters engineered for Skydrol® and other phosphate ester hydraulics used in aerospace/military rigs; up to 414bar with multiple seals/ports.

Clamp on ultrasonic (non intrusive)

Dynasonics TFX 5000 - (as used in our chilled water/cooling application note) – fast, non invasive verification for cooling loops where downtime must be avoided.

Pressure & back pressure control

Equilibar® back pressure regulators (IC / Research families) - dome loaded, frictionless diaphragm with multi orifice design for instantaneous, stable control over huge turndown ranges; ideal for fuel return loops, vacuum/altitude rigs and mixed phase services. Industrial IC variants offer CF3M/1.4409 bodies with Class 150/300 options.
Jordan Valve Mark 60 (sliding gate PRV) - self operated, low offset downstream pressure control for steam/thermal fluid coils, plant utilities and chamber feeds; quieter than globe designs and quick to respond.
Drastar pressure regulators (e.g., DRA200 / DRA700) - stainless, high purity pressure reducing solutions with push and lock set point security; suitable for purge/vent gases and clean test gases.

Pumps & dosing

Fluid Metering Inc. (FMI) Q Series CeramPump® - valveless ceramic piston heads (Q1/Q2) for repeatable micro to millilitre dosing (electrolytes, additives, sealants); broad materials (316SS, ETFE, PVDF) and optional wash glands for sticky media.
Longer WT600 2J peristaltic drive - multi head, RS 485/analogue control, up to 6000mL/min per head (tube dependent); great for DEF/AdBlue, solvents and coolant additives on rigs and pilot lines.

Process displays & instrumentation

Status Instruments DM4500F / DM3600A panel displays - rate/total, RPM, frequency or universal inputs with relay/analogue/RS 485 options; convenient for flow totalising, batching or local readout on skids and rigs.

Fuel consumption & return loop stabilisation (Automotive/Aerospace) - direct mass/density via Rheonik Coriolis for BSFC and mapping; Equilibar IC holds return pressure steady through large transients for repeatable injector/rail behaviour.
Coolant branch verification (Automotive/Military) - King 7710 provides visual + alarm/4–20mA for branch flows; TFX 5000 clamp on enables fast checks with no drain down.
Hydraulic rigs with phosphate esters (Aerospace/Military) - Lake P Series VA meters are Skydrol® compatible with high pressure ratings, giving dependable indication and switching.
Altitude & vacuum simulation (Aerospace/Military) - Equilibar dome loaded BPRs and vacuum regulators deliver hysteresis free control and wide turndown for chambers and ejector systems.

Marine fuel & utility monitoring (Marine) - LX liquid turbines and VA meters support fuel bunkering/consumption and cooling utilities with stainless construction and IS options where required.
Solvent/flush pressure profiles (Automotive paint lines) - electronic pressure control (e.g., PRVs paired with PLCs) shortens flush cycles and reduces solvent usage by holding stable setpoints during changeovers.
DEF/AdBlue and additive dosing (Automotive/Military) - Longer WT600 2J multi head drives switch from low flow dosing to high flow rinse with simple PLC control.
Electrolyte and sealant micro dosing (EV/battery & assembly) - FMI Q Series heads provide valveless positive displacement for accurate, repeatable shots with low maintenance.
