The final path of my education came at Brunel University, the leading Material Science University in the country, here I gained a BSc and MEng over a 5 year period.
My working life started whilst at University having taken a “sandwich course” This gave me 3 (three) x 6 (six) month placements with companies. I ended up working at one of those placements upon Graduating. I was a Heat Treatment specialist for 3-4 years. I later moved on to Optical Coatings for another 3-4 years. These hands on roles taught me a lot about Gas Flow and Pressure, Vacuum and high temperature systems the goal being to change the properties of the components. Many of the components were Aerospace, Automotive and Military.
My sales career started back in 2003 in Laboratory equipment sales used to determine the properties of Materials. I have supported my customers in various industries and research establishments as well as my passion for education, where I have been a regular visitor to Universities over the past 20 years. The last 10 years I have concentrated on Flow and Pressure of Liquids and Gases.
I tend to visit my customers, understand what they are trying to achieve, finding the best solution for their requirements and budget then presenting the options available to achieve their goals.
