PCT were contacted recently by one of the country’s leading refrigeration companies to identify an affordable instrument to monitor the airflow in a dry air system that formed part of an automated Biostore.
Academic research groups and pharmaceutical companies are placing a growing requirement for automated and secure -80°C biostore performance. With the demands of increasing volumes of biological samples, ranging from DNA and RNA, to cell lines, stem cells and tissues. It’s essential to keep the environment in a controlled state.
Brooktherm were looking to keep the operating environment for both the picking robot and sample store at the required -80°C temperature.
We identified a King 7530 series meter complete with stainless steel fittings and adjustable valve. The machined cast acrylic block construction of the 7530 series allow for neat cabinet mounting, combined with and the clear scales and soft touch balancing valve the 7530 met the brief.
