The CS Instruments VA 500 series of compressed air and gases sensor works on the calorific principle in a robust housing with and without local display.
The sensor is inserted into the flow path and can be done so even under pressure with the optional drilling jig.
VA 500 is mounted with a standard 1/2" ball valve allowing it to be installed or removed from the process with ease. A safety ring avoids an uncontrolled ejection of the probe which may be caused by the operating pressure.
The VA 500 is available in the following probe lengths: 120, 160, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 mm making it ideal for DN50 up to DN1000 pipe sizes.
The standard gas is set to air, using the CS service software or CS data logger the user is able to change to process gas to either Nitrogen (N2), Argon (Ar), Helium (He), CO2, Oxygen (O2) or vacuum.
Stated at ± 1.5% of m.v. ± 0.3 % of f.s with optional accuracy available of ± 1% of m.v. ± 0.3 % of f.s.
From -30°c to +110°c with ambient temperatures for the housing rated to -20°c to +70°c.
Between -1…50 bar (for pressures > 10 bar you should order additional high-pressure protection).
Standard instruments are configured for a maximum velocity of 92.7 MPS (metres per second), low flow (50 MPS), high-flow (224 MPS) and max (185 MPS) configurations are also available.
RS 485 (Modbus-RTU) comes as standard with option Ethernet interface with PoE M-Bus. 4-20 mA output and configurable pulse outputs are also standard.
