CS Instruments VA-570 inline flow meter for air, gases and flammable gases.
Offering Atex approvals to ATEX II 2G Ex db IIC T4 Gb, ATEX II 2D Ex tb IIIC T90 °C, Db.
DVGW approval is also available for natural gas applications up to 16 bar.
Standard gases available on the inline flow meter are air, Nitrogen (N2), Argon (Ar), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Oxygen (O2), Nitrous oxide (NO), Natural gas (NG), Methane (CH4), Biogas (50/50 Methane / CO2), Helium (He), Propane (C3H8) and Hydrogen (H2).
The local display is able to switch between four process parameters of flow, total consumption, velocity and temperature.
The VA-570 meter utilises the calorimetric measuring principle. Due to their compact design it is possible to monitor all compressed air (or other process gases) data from a system be it the smallest compressed air tool to the actual compressor (DN8 to DN80).
The device is supplied with threaded or flanged connections to make installation a quick and easy task. By fitting the sensor with quick release couplings, the VA-570 becomes a mobile service tool for fast local no fuss monitoring. The measurement electronics can be easily removed from the piping section for periodic maintenance, additionally it can be rotated through 180° if a bi-directional measurement is required
For permanent installation it is possible to transfer data to a building management system or PLC with the 4-20mA output for actual flow. If totalising is required then the Pulse output (galvanically separated) should be selected from the device. Digital communications is provided with the standard Modbus RTU (RS 485) interface or the optional Modbus TCP (Ethernet), PoE, M-Bus dependant on configuration orders.
The local display keypad offers a variety of meter selectable values including Nm³/h, Nm³/min, Nl/min, l/s, ft/min, cfm, kg/h, kg/min, inner diameter. There is also a resettable zero for totalised flow via the keypad. The supplied software enables alternative gas selection (nitrogen, oxygen, CO2, and argon, etc) without the need for recalibration.
Stated at ± 1.5% of m.v. ± 0.3 % of f.s with optional accuracy available of ± 1% of m.v. ± 0.3 % of f.s.
From -40°c to +180°c. Operating temperature range is from -20°c to +70°c for units with a display or -20°c to +120°c for Atex devices.
Up to 16 bar optionally or up to 40 bar.
Standard instruments are configured for a maximum velocity of 92.7 MPS (metres per second), low flow (50 MPS), high-flow (224 MPS) and configurations are also available.
