The New Alicat ISMW Whisper series

Alicat ISMW Whisper series of mass flow meters are Atex and IECEx Zone 0 certified.

Pressure and flow rates

ISMW Whisper series offers a minimum of 0.07 PSID / 4.8 millibar pressure drop on devices with a full scale flow rate of up to 5 SLPM. The low pressure drop does increase for larger full scale models with the 1000 SLPM model offering a maximum pressure drop of only 0.24 PSID / 16.5 millibar at full flow.

Accuracy varies dependant on full scale flow rates, typical accuracy is from ± 0.8% of reading and ± 0.2% of full scale with optional high accuracy up to ± 0.4% of reading and ± 0.2% of full scale dependant on model.

Port configurations

The ISMW series is available with various port configurations ranging from M5 x 0.8mm female up to 2” NPT female threaded connections on the 1000 SLPM model. Other thread variants are also available including BSPP, SAE, or metal face‑seal.

Communications

ISMW series from Alicat has a standard 4 – 20 mA output as well as RS-232 serial communications with option RS-485 or Modbus RTU (over either RS-232 or RS-485).

Display and ingress protections

Devices come supplied with a local display and push button setup. Ingress protection is to IP66 with electrical connections being via the DB15 connection port.
