Dynasonics TFX 5000 Transit Time Flow Meter

The TFX 5000 meter is the latest clamp on flow meter from Dynasonics® . The TFX-5000 transit time meter measures volumetric flow and heating/cooling energy rates in clean liquids as well as those with small amounts of suspended solids or aeration, such as surface water or sewage.

Clamp on flow meters benefit from no downtime

TFX-5000 ultrasonic flow and energy meters clamp onto the outside of pipe work and do not contact the internal liquid, reducing both installation time and material costs. The benefit of a clamp on flow meter allows for easy retrofit to existing systems without the need to cut into pipe work or purge the system, ensuring no downtime to your process. After install of a TFX 5000 there is no pressure drop to your process and there are no moving parts to maintain or replace on the flow meter.

Integral and remote mounting options

Various transducer options available on the TFX 5000 allow for installs on pipe work as small as DN12 up to pipe sizes DN1200 (0.5" - 48"). For small pipe applications of DN12 - DN50 (1/2" - 2") an integral mount meter can be used, meaning the transducer and flow transmitter are both mounted directly onto the pipe. Remote mount configurations can be used for all pipe sizes, meaning the transducer can be installed on the pipe work and transmitter electronics can be mounted up 30 meters away.

Both 24 VDC or 110 / 220 VAC powered electronics can be specified.

Atex and IECEx

There are options for intrinsic safety with both Atex and IECEx hazardous approvals.
