Krohne’s Optiswirl 4200 series vortex flow meter has been developed in accordance to IEC 61508 edition 2 and features advanced technology for signal filtering – AVFC (Advanced Vortex Frequency Detection).

There is a remote version option with field housing converter with connection cable up to 50 metres.

Temperature compensation for saturated steam is included as standard whilst the meter will provide integrated gross and net heat calculations for steam and hot water.

Maximum process temperatures are available up to 240 °c with process pressures available up to 100 bar.

Line sizes are available from DN15 up to DN300.

Measuring accuracy depends on media and state but can be up to ±0.75% of the measured value.

Atex versions of the Krohne vortex meter are also available for intrinsically safe applications.
