Equilibar has been designing and manufacturing innovative back pressure and vacuum regulators since 2007, with a reputation for ultra precise, fast response control in demanding applications.

What makes Equilibar different

Equilibar’s patented, dome loaded, multiple orifice design uses a supple diaphragm as the only moving part, delivering frictionless operation, no cracking pressure/hysteresis, and exceptionally wide turndown—often far beyond conventional regulators.

A remote pilot (set point) regulator — manual or electronic—applies a 1:1 reference pressure into the dome; the diaphragm modulates across parallel orifices to hold the process inlet pressure tightly at set point, giving instantaneous, stable control across very low to very high flows.

Research Series

Compact BPRs for laboratory and gas analysis work where tiny flows and very fine pressure resolution are critical. They deliver rapid, stable control from sub mbar to high pressures with material options to match aggressive media.

General Service (GSD) Series

Versatile regulators for gases, liquids and mixed phase service in pilot plants and process skids. They maintain upstream pressure with high precision over a broad flow envelope, reducing the need for multiple valve sizes.

Industrial Service (BD) Series

Larger body regulators for higher flow industrial duties where stable inlet pressure and robustness matter. Ideal for utilities, process loops and plant scale trials.

Sanitary (FD) Series

Hygienic, ASME BPE oriented BPRs for biopharma, personal care and food applications, with electropolished finishes and CIP/SIP compatibility. Excellent control at low Cv for dosing, chromatography and utility pressure stabilization.

Supercritical (BR) Series

Back pressure solutions engineered for supercritical fluids such as scCO₂, offering material/diaphragm combinations that resist clogging and maintain stability across phase changes. Frequently used in research reactors and carbon capture trials.

Mity Mite

A compact, practical pressure control option for space constrained setups needing responsive back pressure regulation. Suited to benchtop rigs and portable systems where simplicity and reliability are key.

High Temperature (HT) Series

Configurations built to manage elevated temperatures and harsh chemistries using appropriate body and diaphragm materials. Used in catalysis, pyrolysis and other high temperature processes that outstrip conventional valve capabilities.

Vacuum (EVR) Series

Precision vacuum regulators using the same diaphragm over multi orifice principle for stable control from light to deep vacuum. Available with manual or electronic pilots for automated vacuum set point control.

Biopharmaceutical (SD) Series

Single use, sanitary flow/pressure control that places a disposable polymer body inside a reusable stainless support—ideal for WFI and point of use control where sterilization and changeover speed matter.

Industrial High Flow (IC) Series

An industrial collection for high throughput back pressure, vacuum and flow control on plant utilities and production lines. Designed to bring Equilibar’s precision to larger scale flow ranges in compact form factors.
