Alicat ISPCDS - Intrinsically Safe Anti Corrosive Dual Valve Pressure Controller

ISPCDS from Alicat Scientific is a Zone 0 dual valve pressure controller which can be used with a wider range of corrosive and non-corrosive process fluids. The dual valved pressure controller can be used with absolute, gauge or differential pressure control processes. Elastomers available for ISPCDS includes FKM, FFKM or EPDM choices.

Eliminate the need to bleed gases with dual-valve controllers that proportionally control flow and exhaust. The exhaust valve allows for precision pressure control and eliminates any pressure overshoot.

Pressure range and turndown ratio

Pressure control range is from 1 – 1500 PSI or pressure control applications up to 100 bar! Standard full scale pressure ranges available are 1 / 5 / 15 / 30 / 100 / 500 / 1000 and 1500 PSI, custom pressure ranges are also available. The steady state control range is 0.01 – 100% of full scale pressure range, a 1000 PSI pressure controller would therefore offer an 10 000:1 turndown ratio with a control range of 0.1 – 1000 PSI.

Accuracy

Standard accuracy is to +/- 0.25% of full scale with a high accuracy option available to +/- 0.125% of full scale.

ISPCDS has a typical warm-up time of less than one second. The sensor response time is less than one millisecond with a typical control response time as fast as 30 milliseconds (T63).

Communications

ISPCDS series features RS-232 serial communications as standard with optional RS-485 or Modbus RTU (over either RS-232 or RS-485). A traditional analogue 4 – 20 mA output is also available where required for output and set point input control.

Display

All ISPCDS devices from Alicat come with a backlit monochrome LCD display which displays many of the features such as pressure, setpoint and valve drive percentage.
