Pharmed® BPT tubing offers service life up to 30 times longer when compared with standard silicone tubing. In addition the permeability of the tubing to gases and vapours is 60 times less when compared with silicone.
Chemical resistance is good with excellent acid, alkali and oxidation resistance, whilst being opaque to visible and UV light which helps protect sensitive fluids.
Continuous process temperature range is from -51°C to +135°C.
Pharmed® BPT tubing can be repeatability autoclaved for processes which require this as well as being heat weldable for sterile access in closed systems.
Pharmed® BPT tubing is documented for biocompatibility to the ISO 10993 standard as well as meeting USP Class VI, FDA and NSF criteria.
