Heated pump head accessories from Eldex eliminate check valve clogging, pressure instability, and inaccurate flow rates when metering viscous, waxy, or temperature-sensitive fluids. The specialised Optos Hot Head™ delivers targeted heating exactly where it is required—at the pump head and valve assembly—maintaining temperatures up to 250°F (120°C) to prevent process media from cooling, thickening, or solidifying during system operation.

Conventional methods rely on wrapping heating tape around the fluid end, which blocks valve access, lengthens maintenance downtime, and presents operator burn risks. The Optos Hot Head™ completely changes this workflow through several built-in engineering benefits:
- Quick-Release Latch Assembly: Allows rapid installation and removal, giving engineers immediate, unobstructed access to check valves without unwrapping wires.
- Flexible Integration: Functions as a standalone component connected directly to plant PLC architectures via a K-type thermocouple, or pairs with an optional Eldex PID Controller.
- Dual Thermal Protection: Features an integrated bi-metal thermostat providing an automatic safety shut-off trigger above 300°F (148°C) to prevent fluid overheating.
