  • Sliding gate seats to enable straight flow through to reduce turbulence and noise.
  • Fast operating speed due to a shorter stroke than globe or plug-style valves.
  • Stem packs four times deeper than the stem travel to supply long stem and packing life.

The Mark 37 Series control valve couples an electronic linear actuator with Jordans sliding gate seat technology to produce a highly accurate controller. This means that the Mark 37 is the ideal final control element for distributed process control systems.

Advantages of sliding gate seats

Sliding gate seats help to provide a greater level of accuracy than other controller designs as they have a shorter stroke due to the straight flow through of the system. Faster responses are also given by having a shorter stroke than globe or plug-style valves.

Seats are easily interchangeable and provide a tight shutoff that is ANSI Class IV rated. 306SST / Jorcote and 316SST / Jorcote are used as the seat materials while the body materials used are carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze and ductile iron.

Temperature ranges for the controller are between -20°C and 66°C with the option for a low temperature spec which can operate till -40°C. The enclosure is explosion proof for Class I, Div.1 Group C, D and is Dust-ignition-proof for Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, F, G.
