The Mark 37 Series control valve couples an electronic linear actuator with Jordans sliding gate seat technology to produce a highly accurate controller. This means that the Mark 37 is the ideal final control element for distributed process control systems.
Sliding gate seats help to provide a greater level of accuracy than other controller designs as they have a shorter stroke due to the straight flow through of the system. Faster responses are also given by having a shorter stroke than globe or plug-style valves.
Seats are easily interchangeable and provide a tight shutoff that is ANSI Class IV rated. 306SST / Jorcote and 316SST / Jorcote are used as the seat materials while the body materials used are carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze and ductile iron.
Temperature ranges for the controller are between -20°C and 66°C with the option for a low temperature spec which can operate till -40°C. The enclosure is explosion proof for Class I, Div.1 Group C, D and is Dust-ignition-proof for Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, F, G.
