Mark 608BP series of pressure regulators from Jordan Valve are designed for gas use with the balanced plug being ideal for low pressure gas regulation with higher inlet pressures up to 10 bar. The low-pressure gas regulator is self-contained meaning no external power is required, making it ideal for tank blanketing applications, gas meter inlet pressure regulations and other low pressure air and gas applications. The design of the Mark 608BP allows it to be installed in any position and can easily be repositioned inline, through complete 360° orientation.

Operating process

Mark 608BP is a normally open (NO) valve. Any changes in the outlet pressure are registered through the sensing line, this causes the larger elastomer diaphragm to rise which in turn moves the plug towards the valve seat. As the outlet pressure decreases the valve diaphragm moves down and moves the plug away from the valve seat to increase flow through the valve. The lever which connects the stem to the diaphragm amplifies the diaphragm forces for tighter shut off. The soft elastomers plug also provides ANSI class VI shutoff.

Body materials and connections

The Mark 608BP series are available in either DN20 or DN25 line sizes (3/4” or 1”) with threaded female NPT, SWE or BSPP/BSPT connections, or ANSI / DIN flanges.

Various valve body materials are available as well as various options for valve seat, plug, diaphragm and guide.
