The FB6C Series from Steriflow food and beverage is a sanitary pressure regulator that ensures downstream pressure remains at the inputted setpoint by opening and closing the plug inside the valve whilst maintaining the sanitary conditions. A large diaphragm provides greater accuracy due to it yielding less pressure drop and the Jordan diaphragm has excellent chemical resistance and is FDA approved.

Body and materials

There are no guiding services within the regulator which means that no particulates are generated during operation. The body is investment cast 316L and the wetted parts are also made from 316L with the seat being as standard a 316L stainless steel seat. Sanitary clamp end connections come as standard with sizes ranging from ½” up to 3”(DN15-DN80).

Pressure and temperature ranges

Maximum set point rating is 135 psi (9.3 bar) with a minimum rating of 3 psi or 0.2 bar. A dome lock pin is fitted which ensures the device can be cleaned in place and steamed in place. A high temperature variant is available that enables the devices to operate in temperatures up to 176°C (350°F) where as the standard temperature model can go up to 121°C (250°F).

Cv ratings

Cv ratings of the regulator go up to 29.4 for the largest regulator and has Cv of 67.1 for the relief valve sizing.
