The FBCV-OR series by Steriflow food and beverage is a sanitary control valve specially designed for applications in which an O-ring style stem seal is needed.

Applications

It is commonly used within cosmetic, dairy and beverage applications. When mounted vertically, the valve is self-draining.

Body and materials

The bonnet seals can be constructed from EPDM, Viton, Silicon, Kalrez, Buna-N and Fluoraz. A standard mechanical finish of 32 Ra (.81 Ra µm) is given to the internal wetted surfaces of the body and the stem of the valve.

Temperature and pressure ranges

Higher temperature valves can reach maximum temperatures of 204°C (400°F) while the 3A valves have a maximum temperature of 121°C (250°F). Pressure in the 4" device should not exceed 250 psi (17 bar) but for other sizes pressure can be as high as 450 psi (31 bar).

Cv and Sizes

As standard the shutoff is ANSI Class III with a metal seat. It is possible to upgrade to an ANSI Class IV with a soft seat providing the Cv rating is larger than 3.5. Valve sizes range from ½" up to 4".
