JSB Series of Steriflow sanitary valves is a compact, high purity back pressure regulating valve which is fully drainable. It has been designed specifically for use in hygienic, ASME BPE liquid and gas applications. The JSB series has also been designed specifically to eliminate all threaded connections and contaminant traps below the diaphragm.

Being fully drainable (an industry first in compact hygienic regulator design) allows it to be compatible with CIP and SIP practices.

The compact BPR has a simple trim design which facilitates quick trim change out and cleaning without valve removal or complete disassembly.

Body materials and finish

Valve body and metal trim components are machined from ASTM A479 316L SST bar stock, finished to ASME BPE SF5 (20Ra micro-inch (0,5 Ra μm), electropolished) standard.

The valve is outfitted with Richards Industrials own rugged PTFE Jorlon diaphragm and Teflon or PEEK seats, all FDA approved, USP Class VI compliant materials.

Typical uses and applications

JSB series is ideal for use in compact, low flow liquid back pressure applications in buffer dilution, pump head pressure control and for DP maintenance across filter membranes or chromatography columns.

The JSB series is available with a captured vent option, designed for maximum safety for the user when handling toxic or hazardous media.

A 1/8” FNPT port is located on the spring housing, allowing easy tubing access to vent to a safe location.

The JSB series BPR can also be supplied with an optional panel mount as well as a pressure gauge on the inlet or outlet.
