Mark 94 series of high flow sanitary steam traps are thermostatic steam traps for use in high capacity steam systems where sanitary conditions must be maintained.
Featuring a 20 Ra finish on all internal wetted parts and 40 Ra on exterior parts.
Mark 94 is has a self-draining design (when installed vertically outlet side down) to minimize the possibility of medium entrapment and bacterial growth.
The Mark 94 has been designed to provide high condensate flow rates during SIP heat up, allowing vessels and other process equipment to reach validation temperature in minimum time. The proprietary fill, bellows and orifice design minimize the subcooling required to open the trap during SIP temperature hold, insuring fast drainage under lower load conditions to help insure against low temperature faults.
During SIP heat up, the bellows assembly is fully open to discharge all air, non-condensate gases and cool condensate. The heat of the entering steam causes the element to expand, closing the valve. As condensate accumulates in the body, the element cools, causing the bellows/stem tip to retract allowing condensate to flow.
Mark 94 can be used up to 3.5 bar inlet pressure and withstand temperatures up to 177 °c dependent on gasket selection.
Mark 94 series is available in DN20, DN25 or DN40 (3/4”, 1” or 1 ½”) sizes with standard sanitary Tri-Clamp process connections, optionally tube weld ends or DIN/ISO threaded connections may be fitted.
FDA, USP Class VI gaskets are fitted to the mark 94 series of sanitary steam trap as standard.
