Steriflow Mark 96AA series of sanitary valves is a hybrid or fully automated pressure reducing valve available as either an inline valve or angle style.
The Mark 96A is available with a stainless steel pressure regulator for manual pressure control, when coupled with an air line the valve can be fully automated.
Fully automated control can be via a direct air pressure signal to the ¼” FNPT dome fitting via an air regulator or I to P converter. The set point of the valve can be changed remotely by “sending an air signal instead of a technician”.
When using an I to P converter, this can be mounted directly on the Mark 96AA or remotely if a wall or panel mount is required.
Full automation of the MK96AA drastically reduces valve offset (droop) compared with spring loaded pressure regulators.
The Mark 96AA is available with various finishing options.
For the body itself standard finish is 20 Ra µin (0,5 Ra µm) (ASME BPE SF5) mechanical finish and electropolish on inside wetted surfaces; 40 Ra μin (1 Ra μm) and electropolish on exterior. Optionally it can be supplied with a 20 Ra µin (0,5 Ra µm) SF5 mechanical finish and electropolish on external surfaces; 8 Ra µin (0,2 Ra µm) finish on internal or external finishes and electropolish (Better than SF4).
The spring housing features a standard machined or investment cast finished 316SST, electropolished with the optional 20 Ra µin (0,5 Ra µm) mechanical finish and electropolish on external surfaces (SF5). 8 Ra µin (0,2 Ra µm) finish on external surfaces on all sizes and electropolish. (Better than SF4).
The adjusting screw and handle has a standard finish of Standard: 32Ra µin electropolished (Note: adjusting screw is a threaded part) with optional 20 Ra µin (0,5 Ra µm) mechanical finish and electropolish finish (SF5) finish.
Available sizes for the pressure regulator are DIN DN15, DN20, DN25, DN40, DN50, DN80; ISO DN15, DN20, DN25, DN40, DN50, DN80. (3/4", 1", 1-1/2" 2", 3")
Process connections available are ASME Tri-Clamp, ASME Tube Weld Ends, DIN/ISO Tri-Clamp Conn's to DIN 32676 Row A, B or DIN/ISO Tube Weld Ends to DIN 11866 Row A, B.
Diaphragm materials available are Jorlon (to 400°F, 204°C) – FDA, USP Class VI, 316L SST, EPDM/Nylon (to 275°F, 135°C), FDA only or ultra-thin Jorlon (to 400°F, 204°C), FDA, USP Class VI (for use with 3-8 range spring only).
O-Ring materials available are EPDM (to 275°F, 135°C) – FDA, USP Class VI, Buna-N (to 225°F, 107°C) – FDA, Viton (to 400°F, 204°C) – FDA, USP Class VI*, Silicone (to 400°F, 204°C) – FDA, USP Class VI*, Teflon-Encapsulated Viton (to 400°F, 204°C) – FDA, USP Class VI, Teflon-Encapsulated Silicone (to 400°F, 204°C) – FDA, USP Class VI (1" - 3" only)
*While rated to exceed normal Clean Steam operating temperatures, Steriflow does not recommend the use of non-encapsulated Viton, or Silicon for continuous clean steam service. Contact the factory if questions.
Mark 96AA is ideally suited to purified water, food and beverage, clean utilities, biopharma and pharmaceutical applications with a focus within various stages of the process.
This includes clean utilities (clean steam, USP PW, WFI, CIP, large volume CCA, CCG). Media prep: AWFI (ambient WFI). Bioreactor/fermenter process input control: AWFI. Separation input and out control: AWFI. Purification input and output control: AWFI, Buffer.
