The BTCS series clean steam trap is commonly used within the hygienic food and beverage industry as well as applications within health and beauty.
It features a two piece, tri-clamp body. A redesigned system provides low subcooling operations which reduces the likelihood of SIP delays and can withstand higher flowrates. The solid barstock design leads to fewer cracks and crevices than other steam traps.
If the trap is installed vertically with the outlet side facing down, it can become self-draining. It can also be connected horizontally with ASME, DIN, ISO Tri-Clamp and tube weld ends available.
The maximum pressure rating for the device is 145 psig (10 bar) and the recommended differential pressure rating should be between 10 and 90 psig (0.7-6.2 bar). The maximum temperature with the trap should not exceed 177°C (350°F).
Market leading subcooling operation of less than 2°C (3°F) means that there is a significantly reduced risk of SIP delays caused by faults in the temperature validation. The bellows assembly only installs in one direction which provides an error proof easy thermal element. A solid barstock design has fewer cracks and crevices than other types of steam traps ensuring that there are less cracks and crevices within the steam path.
