The FB5CPM is a pressure modulating valve that when connected to a cabinet or panel mounted air regulator, distributed control system or PLC using an I-P transducer allows for the remote changing of pressure set points.

Body and materials

It is air loaded and ideal for maintaining constant pressures on the inlet side of the valve. The single diaphragm design and stem guiding prevents particulate generation. Wetted surfaces are given a 32 Ra µin (0.81Ra µm) polished finish.

Common applications for the valve include pump pressure control, CIP systems and HTST/UHT processes. A range of sizes are available from ¾" up to 3" (DN15-DN80) with a total set point range of 5-105psi (0.7-7.2 bar).

As standard wetted material is ASME SA479 316L. Hastelloy-C22, AL-6XN and other materials are optional. A Class IV shutoff is provided by the 316L integral hard seat as standard but there is the option for a Class VI shutoff with a Teflon seat.

Temperature and pressure ranges

The standard model is 3A approved whilst the high temperature model is not. However, the high temperature model allows for the maximum temperature to be 177°C (350°F) instead of 149°C (300°F). Operating pressure for the valve should not exceed 200psi (13.8 bar).
