Typical uses

The Mark 96C series is a pressure reducing angle style valve for use in high to low flow applications. It is commonly used within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and is suitable for use in systems involving gas, liquid and steam.

Body materials

A Jorlon diaphragm means that the Mark 96C provides a long service life and has exceptional corrosion resistance. The body and metal trim are manufactured from 100% 316L stainless steel with the exterior given a machine or electropolish finish.

Cv ranges

The valves set point range goes from 0.2 bar to 9.3 bar (3psi to 135psi) although this will vary depending on the construction. Cv and flow characteristics are 0.3 to 5.5Cv.

Pressure and temperature ranges

Body pressure and temperature ratings are dependent on construction. A variety of internal materials are available with a range of O-ring materials and seat materials. Valve sizes are ½", ¾" and 1" with ASME, DIN/ISO Tri-clamp and extended tube weld ends.

Valve sizes are ½", ¾" and 1"
O-ring materials available: EPDM, Buna-N, Viton, Silicone, Teflon-encapsulated Viton and Kalrez. All materials are USP Class VI and they are all FDA approved apart from Buna-N.
Available seat materials include standard hard which is 316L SS, Jorlon soft seat, PEEK and Teflon.
The body and trim are manufactured using 316L stainless steel and given a machine and electropolish finish.
Interior wetted materials are given a 20Ra uin mechanical and electropolish finish with the stem being able to have an 8Ra finish.
Tri-clamp connector ends that are DIN/ISO sanitary as an option.
Maximum pressures and temperatures are construction dependent.
The set point range is between 3 and 135psi (0.2 to 9.3 bar).
