Steriflow Mark 978OR Series Sanitary Control Valve

Mark 978OR series of sanitary control valves from Steriflow is an O-ring style stem seal control valve. It conforms to ASME BPE guidelines.

Typical applications

The K978OR is ideally suited for a wide range of flowing media in both process and utility areas of sanitary and aseptic systems.

Typical media would include bio-process, caustic, acids, buffer solutions, WFI and clean steam.

Processes would include SIP / CIP systems, chromatography, lyophilization, bioreactor and fermenter.

Body and finish

MK978 is a self-draining (dependant on body / mounting considerations) and has no guiding in the wetted area, preventing particulate generation.

All wetted parts on the Mark 978 sanitary control valve are machined from 316L stainless steel bar stock with a standard 20 Ra mechanical finish on internal wetted surfaces (0,5 μm); machine finish on body exterior (63 RMS), and electropolished inside and out.

Available options and sizes

Optionally it is also available with a 20 Ra mechanical finish on external body surfaces (0,5 μm); 8 Ra finish on internal or external surfaces (0,2 μm).
The valve steam has a standard 20 Ra mechanical finish and electropolish (0,5 μm) with optional 8 Ra mechanical finish (0,2 μm).

The OR version of the mark 978 is available from DN15 to DN50 (1/2” to 2”) with a bolted flange body / bonnet connection. Various FDA/USP Class VI seals options are available for the body / bonnet seal dependent on process requirements.
