The SVC/SHC Series is a sanitary check valve that ensures that product within the system can only flow in a single direction.

Applications

This is used commonly in applications such as batch processing or sanitary pump skids where preventing back flow is crucial. Process flow ensures that the valve is kept open and should flow stop, the valve closes which prevents flow in the reverse direction.

Mounted either vertically or horizontally the check valves have been specially designed to follow the 2016 ASME BPE guidelines. The design is crevice free which leads to no areas of particle entrapment and minimises particulate shredding. They can also be cleaned and steamed in line as well as being self-draining for easy use.

Materials and sizes

The vertically mounted check valve (SVC) is sized between ½” and 3” with the horizontally mounted (SHC) being sized between ½” and 2”. Available body materials include ASME 316L an Hastelloy C-22 while. Internal wetted parts are given as standard the ASME BPE SF5 20 Ra µin electropolished finish. ASME Tri-clamp and tube weld ends are an option with the possibility of DIN/ISO Tri-clamps and tube welds.

All discs are USP Class VI and FDA approved being constructed from EPDM, solid Teflon, PEEK or Polypropylene. The opening pressure of the PEEK and TFE discs are 0.04 psid with 316/ 316 elastomer opening at 0.13psid.
